Hi there? Had a rough week? Well then, my friend Alex’s project does not need much preface. It is individuals dancing solo to Ginuwine’s Pony. It’s kind of the greatest thing ever? Also we all get tired of fashion schmashion 27/7 so here’s your distraction for today. You’re freaking welcome.

The soon to be printed Givenchy ads embrace the LGBTQ community in a refreshing way. Not only does the campaign feature (quite enigmatically so!) a lesbian couple- the adorable Ming Xi with Tisci darling Mariacarla Boscono, but Tisci brought in his former assistant and fit model, the stunning Lea T, a very lovely trans Brazilian. Indeed, the Givenchy campaigns lately have eschewed traditional gender roles in favor of a more modern sexuality. The usual sexpot Catherine McNeil looks positively gamine in a boyish blazer, and Ming Xi gives off a powerful masculine edge in a full on suit. Long-haired Willy Cartier dazzles with a feminine charm. Bravo to the Givenchy team for embracing both diversity and a updated sexuality. The shoot was styled by Vogue Paris editrix Carine Roitfeld and photographed by the dynamic Mert & Marcus.
Long hair and shredded sweaters. Strappy sandals and picnics in the park. Strawberry popsicles, Grizzly Bear, the Pixies. Rayanne Graff, rooftop parties, barefoot in the grass. California dreaming. Too many cupcakes. For Esme: With Love and Squalor. Jezebel Tracie. A full voicemail box. Gold and silver pyrite. Birthday phone calls. Planning tie-dye party. My love/hate relationship with the L train. Avocado tacos in La Esquina park. A lot lot lot lot lot of Blonde Redhead. And one completely heinous cockroach hunt.
